WASHINGTON, D.C. — For more than a century, the poppy has served as the national emblem of remembrance of those who have died in the service of their country. This Memorial Day weekend, the USAA Poppy Wall of Honor is back on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
The wall, embedded with 645,000 poppies in honor of American war dead since World War I, has been a part of the D.C. Memorial Day observance since 2017. This year a special panel marks the National Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemoration, and there is also a digital panel displaying individual remembrances that have been aggregated with #PoppyInMemory.

The installation is located near the Lincoln Memorial and will be open Friday until midnight, Saturday from 9 a.m. to midnight and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
