Here’s a list of some of the restaurants and other businesses across the country offering free eats or discounts to veterans and active-duty service members on Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
Double-check with your local outlets to make sure they are participating in the offer and what proof of service they require. Some offer discounts to veterans but not their family members. If your favorite place isn’t on the list, check with it anyway just to make sure it isn’t offering Veterans Day discounts or free food. Many do.
Whether you served in a desk job in CONUS or close-quarter combat in the Sandbox, you earned these benefits. So enjoy them!
7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes Convenience Stores — Free quarter-pound Big Bite Hot Dog in honor of veterans. Applebee’s — Applebee’s is offering active-duty military and veterans a free meal from a select menu on Veterans Day. Bring along proof of service. Check Applebee’s website for details. Contact your local Applebee’s to learn about any Veterans Day offerings in your neighborhood. Offers may vary based on local mandates and guidelines.
BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse — BJ’s is offering a complimentary meal from a select menu and a Dr Pepper beverage to all current military personnel and veterans with proof of service.
Bob Evans – Veterans and active-duty military can receive a free meal from a special, seven-item menu, available all day Veterans Day. Visit https://www.bobevans.com/veterans-day for more information.
Bombshells Restaurant & Bar – All 12 locations in Texas will offer free entrees for veterans and a 20% discount on other items. Families accompanying the veterans, as well as active-duty service members and their families, will receive a 20% discount on entrees and other items. Alcoholic beverages are excluded. Buffalo Wild Wings — Participating Buffalo Wild Wings restaurants will offer 10 free boneless wings and fries for all veterans and active-duty service members. Dine-in only, and military ID required.
California Pizza Kitchen — Veterans and active military get a complimentary entrée and beverage from a prix fixed menu when they dine in and show proof of service Nov. 11.
The Capital Wheel (National Harbor, Md.) — From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., active-duty and retired service members can take a free spin. Accompanying family members are eligible for the military discount. Military ID is required.
Cattlemen’s — Current or former service members can sign up on or before Nov. 11 at cattlemens.com to receive a certificate for a free 8-ounce sirloin steak dinner with sides. Offer is valid from Nov. 12-22 for outdoor dining or dine-in at California Cattlemen’s locations only. Military IDs or proof of service required.
Chili’s — Chili’s will offer a free meal from a select menu on Veterans Day with proof of military service. Available for in-restaurant only.
Chop House — Veterans and active military receive a 50% discount off any entrée with a valid military ID on Nov. 11. Dine-in only. Call ahead to your local Chop House if you have any questions about your Veterans Day Discount, or visit the Chop House website for additional details.
Circle K — Every location that serves coffee will offer veterans a free medium cup of coffee throughout the day.
Circles — The emotional support group app will provide free virtual meeting rooms for veterans, family members and other military-associated individuals from noon to 8 p.m. EST, covering issues such as active deployment, transitioning, minority veteran support, spouses and more. Colonial Williamsburg — The living history museum in Williamsburg, Va., will offer free admission tickets during Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 11-13, to active-duty military, reservists, retirees, veterans, National Guardsmen and their immediate dependents. Country Kitchen — Active and retired military get a free Country scramble at participating locations. Dine-in only.
Cracker Barrel — Veterans and service members will be offered a free slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake, with purchase, in-store and online at crackerbarrel.com with promo code VETSDAY22.
Crunch Fitness — Active-duty military and veterans can get a free, seven-day trial gym membership and an exclusive offer beginning Nov. 7 and continuing into perpetuity. The offer includes free enrollment and $3 off standard recurring dues on the Peak Results membership plan. Additionally, Crunch Fitness will hold an open house week Nov. 7-13 for active-duty military, veterans and their families to work out for free. Visit crunch.com for more information.
Denny’s — Veterans and active-duty military with a valid ID can receive a free Build Your Own Grand Slam breakfast or Original Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m. until noon.
Dollar General — From Nov. 10-13, veterans, active-duty military, National Guard and Reserve members and their immediate family members can receive a 20% discount on qualifying in-store purchases. Visit dg.com/military for more information.
Dunkin’ Donuts — Veterans and active-duty members can receive one free doughnut while supplies last.
Golden Corral — Golden Corral is hosting their Military Appreciation Night on Nov. 14 from 5 p.m. to close. This includes a free “thank you” meal when dining in. Check local outlet for details.
GoodBar (San Diego) — Guests can leave a special thank-you by purchasing a beer, wine or cocktail for active-duty or retired service members to redeem during their visit. GoodBar also will extend a 25% discount to all military personnel. A valid military ID must be presented to redeem.
Great Clips — Veterans and active service members can go into any U.S. Great Clips salon and get a free haircut or a free haircut card to use later.
Hooters — All active-duty and retired military, with proof of service, are invited to stop in for a free meal with a beverage purchase at participating locations. The Hooters Veterans Day Menu includes: Buffalo Chicken Salad, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Hooters Burger and 10-Piece Boneless Wings.
IHOP — Veterans and active-duty military are being offered free red, white and blue pancakes from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with presentation of a military ID or proof of service. Dine-in only.
Krispy Kreme — Krispy Kreme is offering veterans a free doughnut of choice and small brewed coffee (hot or iced) at participating stores.
Little Caesar’s — From 11 a.m.-2 p.m., veterans and active military members can receive a free lunch combo, which features four slices of Little Caesars Detroit-style deep-dish pizza, paired with a 20-ounce Pepsi product. Proof of service required.
Logan’s Roadhouse — Logan’s Roadhouse will be offering all veterans a free meal off its special Veterans Day menu from 3-6 p.m. on Nov. 11.
Lucille’s BBQ — Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal from a four-entrée menu that includes: Lucille’s Original Pulled Pork Sandwich and one swoon-worthy side; Lucille’s Southern Fried Chicken and two swoon-worthy sides; Pulled Pork Plate and one swoon-worthy side; or BBQ Chicken Salad. Active-duty military and veterans will also receive a $10 thank you card while supplies last that is redeemable from Nov. 25 to Dec. 4. Military I.D. or proof of service required.
Margaritaville at Sea — The cruise line will offer $100 onboard credit to service members who book a free cruise to the Bahamas through the Heroes Sail Free program. Mission BBQ — A free sandwich for veterans and active-duty service members.
MOD Pizza — Sign up to receive a buy-one-get-one-free MOD-size pizza or salad with military ID by Nov. 8, and MOD will send you a coupon on Nov. 9 to redeem on Veterans Day.
Native Grill & Wings — Veterans and active-duty military are invited to enjoy a free menu item (up to $11.99).
Nekter — A free fresh juice or superfood smoothie (16 ounce) for veterans.
Ninety Nine Restaurant & Pub — Veterans and active military can receive a free entrée from a special Veterans Day menu with the purchase of any other entrée, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Dine-in only.
Noah’s Bagels — A free medium fresh-brewed hot or iced coffee with breakfast, for veterans.
O’Charley’s — Veterans can get a free meal (a $10 value) on Nov. 11 with a military ID. O’Charley’s offers a special “Veterans Thank You Menu.” Just check to see if your nearby O’Charley’s is participating.
Olive Garden — Active-duty military and veterans on Veterans Day can get a free meal, which includes an entrée from a special Veterans Day menu, plus unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks to round out the meal.
On The Border — A free pick-two combo meal for veterans and active-duty service members.
Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt — Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy half off a cup of froyo.
Outback Steakhouse — Active-duty and veterans can receive a free Bloomin’ Onion or Coca-Cola product. A 10% discount on meals is available for service members as well as nurses, doctors, medical staff, police officers and firefighters.
Parry’s Pizzeria & Taphouse — Veterans and active-duty military get a free full-size entrée and fountain drink.
Parsons Xtreme Golf — Founded by a Marine Corps veteran, PXG will offer up to a 50% discount on select clubs and apparel for active-duty service members and veterans.
Peet’s Coffee — Free drip coffee or tea to veterans and active-duty military members.
Perkins — Active-duty military and veterans can enjoy a free Magnificent Seven breakfast meal with a valid military ID.
Perry’s Steakhouse and Grille — Free pork chop dinner, with the purchase of a dinner entrée, for active-duty military and veterans.
Petro Stopping Centers — A complimentary meal from a select menu that includes a beverage, for active duty, reservists and veterans with proof of service, at participating Country Pride or Iron Skillet restaurants inside Petro Stopping Centers.
Pie Five Pizza — A free personal pizza for dine-in customers at participating locations.
Pilot — In celebration of Veterans Day, Pilot Company is inviting all active duty and retired military members to enjoy a free meal at any of its more than 750 participating Pilot, Flying J and One9 Fuel Network travel centers. Pilot is using ID.me, a group verification solution, to make it easy and simple for service members to quickly verify their eligibility.
Quaker Steak and Lube — Free or discounted meals (up to $15), plus a free nonalcoholic beverage at participating locations, for active duty, reservists and veterans.
Red Lobster — Veterans, active-duty military and reservists can receive a free Walt’s Favorite Shrimp, fries and coleslaw. The offer is valid for dine-in and to-go orders placed in-restaurant between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. local time. Guests must show a valid military ID or other proof of service.
Red Robin — Veterans and active-duty military who are Red Robin Royalty members are offered a free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries, through Nov. 14.
SEA180° Coastal Tavern (Imperial Beach, Calif.) — Active-duty and retired service members can receive a free appetizer. Some exclusions may apply.
Sheetz — On Veterans Day, Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a free 6-inch turkey sub and a regular-size fountain drink at any location. Plus, a free car wash.
Shoney’s — A free all-you-care-to-eat breakfast to all veterans and active-duty military on Veterans Day until 11 a.m. on Veterans Day.
Six Flags — From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 12 and 13, veterans and active-duty service members will receive free admission, parking, meal, drink bottle, lanyard, button and 15% off retail items. Family of veterans, active-duty and retired service members will receive $19.99 park admission (up to four in a group), a discounted drink bottle and free button. Proof of service required at the front gate.
Starbucks — Active-duty service members, reservists, veterans and military spouses are invited to enjoy a free tall (12-ounce) hot brewed coffee at participating stores. New this year, a free tall (12-oz) iced coffee.
Texas Roadhouse — From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., veterans can pick up a meal voucher at their closest Texas Roadhouse (with valid military ID or proof of service).
Trout Unlimited — The national nonprofit organization dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring North America’s coldwater fisheries and their watersheds is offering veterans a free, one-year trial membership. The membership includes four issues of TROUT Magazine; discounts on travel, lodging, insurance and other services; local chapter membership; and access to Trout Unlimited’s online community. UFC GYM/UFC FIT — Select locations across the country will offer all military service members a complimentary membership through the end of this year. To redeem the offer, participants must register between now and Nov. 30. A valid military ID must be presented to redeem.
