CAMP FOSTER, Okinawa — The Naval Criminal Investigative Service is looking into the death of a Marine who was found in his barracks room Saturday night at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni.

Capt. Garrett Woodcock, 31, of Riverside, California, was found dead in his barracks room at approximately 7 p.m., according to a Marine Corps statement. No other details were available Monday.

Woodcock was a member of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 122, which is temporarily assigned to Japan from Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina.
