AGANA HEIGHTS, Guam – For the moment, Noah Harris, Rai Johnson and Guam High’s football team silenced any concerns about facing a rebuilding season.

Harris, a junior running back, rushed for two touchdowns and Johnson, a sophomore quarterback, tossed two scoring passes and ran for two TDs as the Panthers opened their season Friday with a 46-0 romp over Tiyan at Panthers Field.

“The whole team, they had heart and they knew what they wanted to do,” said Jooho Lee, who was victorious in his debut as Panthers coach.

Harris ran for 126 yards on 10 carries and had five tackles. Johnson completed four passes for 42 yards, including touchdowns of 27 and 12 yards to Braden Flinn, and ran five times for 124 yards.

In total, the Panthers defense smothered the Titans, recording seven tackles for losses. Sophomore Ramon Quichocho returned a fumble for a Panthers TD.

Guam High’s season continues Friday at 7 p.m. when the Panthers host George Washington.
