Saturday was SAT testing day worldwide, and if the "S" stands for softball, Patch’s Bianca Lopez aced the exam.
Lopez stroked two home runs to back the pitching of Angel Roman as the Lady Panthers routed visiting Hohenfels 17-2 in the opening game of a doubleheader.
Lopez took the mound in the nightcap, tossing three no-hit innings and hitting a double and her third homer of the day to lead Patch (9-0) to 16-0 run-rule victory.
Danielle Eliarda tripled in the second game for Patch, which benefited from first-game doubles by Simone Reaves, Jordan Smith and Anne Wasson.
Coach Billy Henry reported that five of his starters missed Saturday’s games because of SAT testing as Hohenfels fell to 2-4.
