NILE C. KINNICK RED DEVILS

Far East tournament titles — 12, third-most all-time.

Head coach — Stan Hovell, second season.

Key performers — Bobby Crisafulli, Sr., heavyweight; William Mitchell, Sr., 145; Samuel Tovar, Jr., 133; Tia Johnson, Sr., 145; Joah De La Cruz, So., 114; Luke Menard, So., 121.

Outlook — Reloading. Some experience returning, a handful PCSed in and there are seven girls in the room. Two deep at each weight class. Could contend if all the chips fall in the right places.

Division II

ROBERT D. EDGREN EAGLES

Far East tournament titles — 11, most all-time in D-II, fourth-most all-time overall.

Head coach — Justin Edmonds, 18th season.

Key performers — Nikolas Hawkins, Jr., 145-52; Gabriel Marceron, Jr., 139; Haruki Jones, So., 121; Ethan Wong, So., 121-129 (transferred from Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.).

Outlook — Rebuilding. Young squad, thin in numbers; only 13 in the room.

E.J. KING COBRAS

Coach — Kevin McGrath, first season (assisted in previous seasons).

Key performers — Joseph McGrath, Sr., 145; Ryan Fenwick, Sr., 133; Soraat Johdee, Sr., 152; Tom Irby, Sr., 160; Aarona Headley, Jr., 127; Jude Cutler, So., 133; Jesus Puello, Jr., 215; Matthew Balitaan, Fr., 127.

Outlook — Reloading-contending. This team could contend for that long-sought Far East D-II title. A crop of hungry returners along with a core of newcomers with potential.

MATTHEW C. PERRY SAMURAI

Far East tournament titles Two, each won last year.

Head coach — Maurice Cole, first season.

Key performers — Xander Grantham, Jr., 215; Gregory Murodov, So., 133; Layne Mayer, Sr., 127; Aaron Lopez, So., 121; Braylon Stephens, So., 189; Amaya Downey, Fr., 160.

Outlook — Rebuilding. Plenty of experience transferred or graduated from last year’s D-II champions. New coaching staff and a handful of veterans return.

YOKOTA PANTHERS

Far East tournament titles — Six in D-II, eight overall.

Head coach — Theo Kuntz, third season.

Key performers — Kaiyo Heinrichs, Sr., 172; Kai Patton, Sr., 133-139; Noah Harbert, Jr., 189.

Outlook — Rebuilding. Like last year, a young team; many seniors graduated, others didn’t come back out. It could be a struggle.

ZAMA TROJANS

Far East tournament titles — Three in D-II, five overall.

Coach — Guy Snyder, fifth season.

Key performers — Kieran Montgomery, Sr., 145-152; Sean Nelloms, Jr., 215; Jeffery Wooland, Sr., heavyweight; Gabe Simpkins, Fr., 131; Edgar Andalon, Sr., 160; Anya Price, Sr., 133.

Outlook — Reloading with the hope of contending. Strong core of returners in the room along with a crop of youngsters.
