A U.S. Navy destroyer has shot down an anti-ship ballistic missile fired by Iranian-backed Houthi militants in Yemen, according to U.S. Central Command.

The weapon was launched around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday toward the Gulf of Aden, the command said in a press release.

The USS Carney shot down the missile, then, at 9:10 p.m. “engaged and shot down three Iranian UAVs in its vicinity,” according to the release. UAVs are unmanned aerial vehicles.

No injuries or damage were reported, the release said.
