SEOUL — A new branch of Community Bank has opened at K-16 Air Base in Suwon, according to a Yongsan Garrison press release.

The branch at the K-16 Community Activity Center was two years in the making, said garrison spokesman David McNally.

The new branch provides the same services customers can find at the Yongsan Garrison branch, including opening new accounts, making deposits and applying for loans.

A new ATM machine is available in front of the bank.

Before the opening last week, K-16 customers could conduct banking only on Wednesdays and Thursdays for four hours a day, and check cashing was the only service available.

McNally said the addition of the bank at K-16 is especially timely, as the installation will remain in Seoul long after Yongsan Garrison has relocated to Camp Humphreys.
