Wizards (and muggles) of all ages can visit the world of their bespectacled hero through The Making of Harry Potter at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo.
The tour is filled with props and set designs from the actual films, from Diagon Alley to Hogwarts Castle. Visitors are briefed on everything they need to know before their behind-the-scenes look.
Plus, by using your phone to access a site via a QR code you may take part in a Quidditch match and make a moving portrait — just like in the movies.
The entire tour takes up to four hours, but the experience seems to fly by. A cafeteria halfway through the experience provides a convenient break for Hogwarts-themed meals.
Butterbeer is a special highlight and comes with a souvenir cup. The dining area is set around Harry Potter’s original home and is surrounded by chess pieces, buses and cars seen in the movie.
The second part of the tour explains the CGI used in the movies. The “Fantastic Beast” films also have their moment.
This section takes visitors through re-created locations such as Diagon Alley, the Ministry of Magic and Platform 9 ¾, just like their favorite “Harry Potter” characters.
The tour ends, of course, at the gift shop, where you can load up on Hogwarts merchandise, including unique candies, T-shirts, pins and robes from every Hogwarts house. Some items can be personalized.
The magic doesn’t end there. Harry Potter-themed foods and treats are available in the main hall.
