If you grew up thinking Starbucks sets the bar for coffee shops, and no other can top them, stand by.
The absolute best coffee café in South Korea is a wonderful eatery called Ten Dogs Café in Pyeongtaek city not far from Camp Humphreys and Osan Air Base. The staff is very welcoming and helpful.
This upscale and extremely inviting two-story coffee shop is roughly two miles from Humphreys. The spacious café has plenty of room to sit and relax while sipping a caramel macchiato. It has an indoor patio upstairs.
Ten Dogs, as you might expect, is pet friendly but pets are limited to an outdoor area where humans may eat and drink.
A menu in English and Korean makes ordering easy. The drink menu comes with coffee, frappes, smoothies and an assortment of teas and lemonades that cost no more than $5. A large variety of food items — pizza, chicken wings, French fries, and hot dogs — cost no more than $20.
The chicken wings were crispy, juicy, and tender. The fries were hot and crispy, and perfectly salted. The lemonade came with a hint of purple in a gold-rimmed glass. It was cold and refreshing.
Ten Dogs Café is a unique café with great coffee, food and a luxurious atmosphere, great for friendly gatherings with your pack or just a quiet place to relax.
