A new skate park is officially opening Wednesday in downtown Kaiserslautern, the city announced in a statement.

The public is invited to join the local skater community for an opening-day celebration with food and music starting a 5 p.m. at the new park, located in the parking lot on the corner of Benzinoring and Ludwigsstrasse.

“The new skate park has now been completed,” the city said. “We are, therefore, pleased to inform you that the skate park will be officially opened on Wednesday.”
