Easter is a big holiday in Germany, and it is a long one too.

On Good Friday and on Easter Monday, all the stores, businesses and public offices will be closed for the holidays. And, as usual, they will be closed on Sunday, too.

Most restaurants will be open, but because this is a holiday where families get together, it would be wise to make reservations if you are going out, especially on Easter Sunday.

Expect busy grocery stores tonight and on Saturday. And stores that usually stay open late will all close by 8 p.m. tonight.

While Friday and Monday are not American holidays, if you have any business to take care of on base, it would be wise to check if it is open before you go.
