Third-place Kaiserslautern readies for away game versus Magdeburg amid tight race

Simon Simoni will get his second start between the posts on Sunday when the Red Devils play in Magdeburg.

Julian Krahl is still out with an injury, but otherwise FCK coach Markus Anfang can call on his regular starting lineup for the 1:30 p.m. game.

1.FC Kaiserslautern goes into the 28th week of the season in third place with 46 points, one ahead of Paderborn and three ahead of its Sunday opponent.

Magdeburg has struggled at home this season but played well on the road. About 3,000 FCK fans are expected to be on hand.

The Red Devils return to Fritz Walter Stadium on April 12 for a night game against Nuremberg.
