Germany and many other European countries will set clocks forward one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday as European Summer Time begins.

The seasonal time change, Europe’s version of daylight saving time, will remain in effect until Oct. 26.

All European Union member states and most countries on the Continent observe Summer Time. Exceptions include Belarus, Iceland, Russia and Turkey.

Although the European Parliament backed a proposal in 2019 to end the time change, no action has been taken to implement it.
