Take in the magical sight and sweet aroma of the almond blossoms while you sample local wines and enjoy panoramic views of the Rhine plain and Haardt Mountains. The outdoor festival runs Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Trier city tour: Take a leisurely stroll through Trier’s old city center with an English-speaking guide. The journey begins at the Porta Nigra — Trier’s most famous Roman landmark — and ends at the 17th-century Electoral Palace, passing incredible historic sites. The tour starts 11 a.m. on Friday at the Porta Nigra and costs 13 euros per person or 30 euros for a family of four.
Live theater: Razz Ma Tazz Theatre presents Stepsisters, a fresh spin on the classic Cinderella story — told from the perspective of her stepsiblings. Performances will be held at the Ramstein Community Center on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and on Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids ages 3 and up.
Sayn Castle: Starting Friday at 10 a.m., two attractions are reopening at Sayn Castle: the enchanting Butterfly Garden and the fascinating New Museum. Stroll through a tropical wonderland filled with hundreds of exotic butterflies, then dive into European history at the New Museum. Roam the scenic castle grounds, which feature ancient trees and gorgeous landscaping.
