Hundreds of stolen items recovered during an investigation of a man who worked for a local moving company may belong to Americans in the Kaiserslautern Military Community, according to the Rheinland-Pfalz police department.

The valuables were found during a search of the man’s apartment in January, police said in a statement Thursday.

Police posted photos of some 500 items online in an attempt to find the owners. The goods range from watches and U.S. military uniform patches and clothing to jewelry and sneakers.

The suspect, who has not been identified, worked for an unnamed moving company in the Kaiserslautern area since May 2024. Investigators believe that a large portion of the seized items come from U.S. citizens, police said.

Anyone who recognizes their property, or who can provide information about the owners, is asked to fill out a form and return it to police. The form and photos of the stolen items can be viewed at https://s.rlp.de/y6zD2ev.
