2-hour reporting delay for KMC and Baumholder on Monday

A two-hour reporting delay is in effect for the Kaiserslautern and Baumholder military communities Monday morning due to snow in the forecast, U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz announced Sunday afternoon.

The delay includes DODEA schools and child and youth services. Service members and civilian employees are advised to check with their supervisors for additional reporting instructions.

The garrison expects road conditions may worsen in the morning, with snow forecast to start falling about 8 a.m.

Landstuhl Regional Medical Center will remain open despite the expected icy road conditions, the hospital said at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday. Scheduled appointments will be kept, but patients who are unable to travel safely are asked to reschedule. Staff members should avoid traveling if their commute conditions deteriorate, the hospital said.
