The Red Devils are heading to the German capital this weekend for the second division’s Saturday night game against Hertha BSC Berlin.

About 6,000 fans are headed in the same direction to support their team at the match that kicks off at 8:30 p.m. at the Olympic Stadium.

There was a flurry of transaction last weekend before the winter transfer window closed. 1. FC Kaiserslautern picked up Tim Breithaupt on loan for the rest of the season from first division FC Augsburg and sent both Richmond Tachie to Braunschweig and Dickson Abiama to 1860 Munich on loan to the end of the season.

Breithaupt, a midfielder, comes to FCK as a veteran of 18 Bundesliga and 57 Bundesliga 2 games.

The Red Devils head to Berlin, sitting in fourth place with 35 points, tied with Hamburger SV and 1. FC Magdeburg, but trailing on goal differential. Hertha comes into Saturday’s match in 12th place, 10 points behind FCK. 1. FC Cologne leads the second division with 37 points.

The Red Devils lost to Berlin in their first meeting of the season, 4-3 in a wild match at Fritz Walter Stadium.

Kaiserslautern will be missing coach Markus Anfang on the bench in Berlin, after he was handed a one-game suspension for his red card following last week’s game.

The Red Devils return to Fritz Walter Stadium on Feb. 15 for a 1 p.m. game against Hannover 96.
