Access to U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz installations may take longer this week due to a planned force protection exercise, according to a statement issued Monday.

The routine base security training begins Monday and is slated to end Friday, the garrison statement said. Army posts in Kaiserslautern, Baumholder, Mannheim, Germersheim and surrounding areas will be involved.

Traffic delays may result from increased security measures at installation gates and access control points, the garrison said.
