There has been a lot of action off the pitch for 1. FC Kaiserslautern this past week. In the days before and after their weekend 4-2 win in Fürth, the Red Devils made a number of roster changes.

After picking up Grant-Leon Ranos last Wednesday from Mönchengladbach, FCK got another offensive player, Faride Alidou, on Thursday from Eintracht Frankfurt. On Monday, Kaiserslautern picked up defender Maximilian Bauer on a loan from Augsburg to the end of the season. On Tuesday, the club said it was lending Jannik Mause to Fürth for the rest of the season. In mid-January FCK added keeper Simon Simoni to the roster, on loan from Eintracht.

Meanwhile, the team is getting ready for its 1:30 p.m. Sunday game against Preussen Münster at Fritz Walter Stadium.

The Red Devils go into the game in fourth place with 32 points, two points behind league-leader Hamburger SV. The top of the second division is tight, with only four points separating HSV from seventh-placed Düsseldorf. Münster, promoted up from the third division this season, is 14th place with 20 points.

There will again be 40,000-plus spectators at the match, with tickets still available for seats at the stadium’s east end.

Next weekend the Red Devils play the Saturday night game in Berlin against Hertha BSC before returning to the Betzenberg on Feb. 15 for a match against Hannover 96.
