A 62-year-old man died Wednesday after falling from a parking deck at the K in Lautern mall in downtown Kaiserslautern, police said.

It happened around 11:30 a.m. near Fackelstrasse, where the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities said there are no indications of violence or foul play. The circumstances surrounding the man’s fall remain under investigation.

Police had cordoned off the area while emergency personnel worked at the site, but as of 2 p.m. all roads and shops in the area were open as usual.
