The upcoming holiday weekend is a great time to get out and explore Germany, but there’s still plenty to do if you’re staying local. Here are a few things going on this weekend.

“Smokin’ Meats” backyard bbq: Armstrong’s Club in the Vogelweh housing area kicks off its new carnivore pickup and takeout service on Friday. Drop by the club’s backyard from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to take home some smoky beef brisket, pork ribs and sides like homemade coleslaw and mac ‘n’ cheese. Customers can also order ahead by calling (0)611-143-541-9115.

“Moana 2” special screening: The Exceptional Family Member and Hearts Apart Programs are teaming up to host a free screening of Disney’s “Moana 2” at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday at the KMCC Reel Time Theater. Email 86FSS.EFMP@us.af.mil to register.

Sensory-friendly shopping at the Exchange: Every third Sunday of the month from 9 a.m.-10 a.m., families and customers with unique needs can shop in a quieter, calmer environment at the KMCC Mall. The Exchange will turn off overhead music and announcements, beeping sounds at registers, and have reduced lighting throughout the store. The Exchange will open to the general public at 10 a.m.

Sembach pool tournament: Local sharks can swim over to the Sembach Community Activity Center for this monthly competitive event on Sunday at 7 p.m. Prizes include a $25 gift card, a free lunch coupon, and more. Call the Warrior Zone at (0)611-143-541-9110 for more information.
