Flea markets and free live entertainment abound this weekend in the KMC

Don’t let the cold temperatures keep you locked up in the house and away from local adventures in the KMC. Here are a few things going on this weekend.

“Flight Risk” Advanced Screening : The KMCC Exchange ReelTime theater is hosting an advanced free screening of “Flight Risk”. The action thriller stars Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Dockery and Topher Grace. Tensions soar and trust is tested, as a pilot (Wahlberg) flies a U.S. Marshall (Dockery) and a fugitive (Grace) over the Alaska wilderness. The movie starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Seating is first-come, first-served.

RCC Indoor Flea Market: Start the new year with great finds and big savings at the Ramstein Community Center indoor flea market on Saturday from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Tables are $15 for those looking to sell. Entrance for shoppers is free. Call DSN 480-6600 or 06371-47-6600 for more information.

Flohmarktine Women’s Flea Market: With over 150 exhibitors selling modern and vintage women’s clothing and accessories, there’s sure to be something for everyone at the North Fan Hall at Fritz-Walter Stadium in Kaiserslautern. The market runs from noon – 4 p.m. on Saturday. Entrance is 4 euros at the door. Click here for more information.

“Music Connects Europe” Orchestra Concert: The Rheinland-Pfalz State Youth Orchestra will present a multimedia journey combining live music with video recordings of travel through 25 European countries. Musical arrangements will highlight each country and include Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”, Jean Sibelius’ “Finlandia,” and many more. The concert starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday at the Fruchthalle in Kaiserslautern. Entrance is free, but visitors can use anonymous donation boxes on site at the end of the show.
