Snowfall prompts downgrade in road conditions around KMC

Snow falling on wet streets has Kaiserslautern Military Community officials issuing a warning on social media that road conditions are “amber” in Kaiserslautern, Sembach, Landstuhl and Miesau. Conditions are “red” in Baumholder.

Amber means moderately hazardous driving conditions, while red signifies that conditions are dangerous.

The German Weather Service is also warning for the danger of slippery roads in the area, with rain or snow this evening and tomorrow. Overnight lows around freezing, with temperatures rising in the morning.
