A group of Americans was involved in a physical altercation with the security staff at a dance bar on Kaiserslautern’s Marktstrasse early Sunday morning, according to Kaiserslautern police. One of the Americans received serious but not life-threatening injuries and was taken to a hospital, and several members of the security team were also injured, a press release said. U.S military police supported German police at the scene.

A “group of people attracted attention in the music club due to their inappropriate behavior”, the press release Members of the group argued with security staff when they were expelled from the club, and a physical fight followed. When the police arrived, only the 26-year-old injured patron and the security staff remained at the scene, the press release said.

The incident is now under investigation.
