U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz changed road conditions to amber at about 9:40 a.m. Sunday, downgrading an earlier red warning following last night’s snow.

The road conditions, which indicate moderately hazardous driving, include Baumholder, Germersheim, Coleman Barracks, Gruenstadt, all of Kaiserslautern, Landstuhl, Miesau and Sembach. All garrison-led religious services have been cancelled today.

The snow may not last long in several areas, particularly at lower elevations. It’s raining now and temperatures are expected to rise into the mid 40s today.
