“Unstoppable” Advanced Screening : The KMCC Exchange ReelTime theater is hosting an advanced free screening of “Unstoppable”. The docudrama is rated PG-13 and stars Jharrel Jerome, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, Don Cheadle, and Jennifer Lopez. The film centers around the life of collegiate wrestler Anthony Robles, who was born with one leg and won a national championship in 2011. The movie starts at 6 p.m. on Saturday. Seating is first-come, first-served.
Gelterswoog Winter Swim: Take a polar plunge at Gelterswoog beach in Kaiserslautern for the 11th edition of the “Three Kings Swim.” Participants will receive a certificate with their name and the water temperature, a warm drink, and a surprise souvenir after completing the 50-meter swim in traditional swimwear. Swimmers and spectators alike can enjoy grilled food, mulled wine, and other drinks on site. Swimmers can register by sending an email to: dreikoenigsschwimmen-kl@t-online.de. The cost is 10 euros for participants and 2 euros for spectators.
Saar-Hunsrueck National Park Hike: Join Ramstein Outdoor Recreation for a winter hike through the Saar-Hunsrueck National Park. The guided excursion explores the 2,100 year old Otzenhausen Celtic Ringwall. The trip starts Saturday morning at 8 a.m. The cost is $25. A Night of Queen: International Queen tribute band “The Bohemians” will perform at the Fruchthalle in Kaiserslautern at 8 p.m. on Friday. The show includes hits from the band’s early piano and harmony-heavy days to the pop and rock anthems of the 80s and early 90s. Tickets start at 43 euros and can be purchased at all Kaiserslautern tourist service centers or event websites Eventim and Kultopolis.
