Most U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz services are under a two-hour delay for Friday morning due to anticipated continuing snowfall and freezing conditions, according to a command notification message.

Child and youth services facilities will open at 8 a.m and other garrison services will open at 10 a.m.

Air Force operations and services are open, but changes in weather could trigger early closures or late reporting for Friday according to Ramstein Air Base social media.

Both Army and Air Force installation commands have noted current “amber” road conditions for the greater Kaiserslautern area and Baumholder, but USAG Rheinland-Pfalz expects continued snowfall and freezing conditions overnight to result in “red” conditions.
