There will be slight changes to Kaiserslautern’s public bus schedule over the New Year holiday.
On Tuesday, New Year’s Eve, buses will run on their regular Saturday timetable. However, none will depart from the city center between 11:15 p.m. and 1:15 a.m. on New Year’s Day.
The Lauter night bus will depart from the central stop at 1:15 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. on Jan. 1. Services will then resume as scheduled there from 9:45 a.m.
Updated fares announced by the Rhein-Neckar Transport Association earlier this month are also set to be changed from Jan. 1.
A single adult ticket will cost 2.80 euros, while a single child’s ticket will cost 1.90 euros. Adults who have a Bahn card will have to pay 2.10 euros for a single ticket.
Travelers are encouraged to plan ahead and adjust their schedules accordingly, especially if relying on late-night transportation.
More information on routes and the new fares can be found on the SWK website.
