Child hit in Kaiserslautern crosswalk, police looking for driver

Kaiserslautern police are looking for the driver of a car that hit a child in a pedestrian crosswalk Thursday morning on Kantstrasse and fled the scene. The 12-year-old girl was slightly injured. At about 7:30 a.m., the driver overtook a bus that was stopped properly in the direction of Bremerstrasse, hit the girl while she was in the pedestrian crossing and took off without checking on the victim. Witnesses who observed the accident or the suspected driver involved are asked to contact the Kaiserslautern police at: 0631-369-2150.
