It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in the KMC. There’s plenty of holiday cheer to go around on and off base. Here’s what’s going on this weekend:

Christmas at Hogwarts: The Ramstein Officers’ Club is calling all witches and wizards to the great hall at Hogwarts from 8 - 10 a.m. on Saturday for an enchanting breakfast. Participants are encouraged to don their finest dress robes or come as a character. Tickets are $20 for club members, $25 for non-members and $15 for children 12 and under. Seats are limited. Call 06371-47-7888 for information.

Grinch Market for the Animals: The Kindsbach Sunshine Farm animal rescue welcome everyone on Saturday to a special Christmas market for furry friends. The free event includes a market with goods for both pets and humans, food, a winter cocktail bar and a raffle supporting the animal shelter. The market runs from 1-5 p.m. at Industriestrasse 34 in Kindsbach.

Joint Jingle Jog: The 21st Theater Sustainment Command and 86th Airlift Wing are hosting the KMC’s first Joint Jingle Jog fun run on Saturday at Hangar 3 on Ramstein Air Base. Doors open at 9 a.m., and runners need to be in place by 9:45 a.m. to hear the “rules of engagement” brief. This family event is open to all ID card holders and dependents, but no pets or strollers are allowed. The USO will also be on site with refreshments following the run.

Breakfast with Santa: The KMCC Exchange is hosting a breakfast Sunday with the big man in red before he starts his trip around the globe. French toast, sausage and hash browns are on the menu in the Exchange food court from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can purchase tickets in advance at Charley’s for $7.99.

Winter Wonderland Celebration: The Ramstein Community Center at 1 p.m. hosts a day of games, treats and jingles by DJ Nola, with Santa stopping by after filling up at breakfast. Admission is $5 and free for children 3 and under. You can join Mrs. Claus in her kitchen for an additional $3. Click here for information and visit or call the community center to pre-register.
