A fire broke out in an apartment Wednesday in the building in Ramstein-Miesenbach that is home to Memory and Paradox, restaurant-bars frequented by Americans. The fire on Bahnhofstrasse was reported around 11:30 a.m., said Matthias Hecktor, deputy firefighter in charge on the scene.

“We were able to get the fire quickly under control,” Hecktor said, referring to the 29 firefighters who responded. The cause of the fire might be electrical work that was carried out in the building, Hecktor said.

No one was injured in the fire, police at the scene told K-Town Now.
