The traffic circle connecting the U.S. Army Signal Activity Kaiserslautern station to Hitzelberger Strasse on the way to Landstuhl Regional Medical Center has reopened, U.S. and German officials said Tuesday.
With the reopening, drivers may access the hospital through Gate 3 again, LRMC officials. The project, which extends between the SATCOM road and L465, has stopped for the winter, construction company Landesbetrieb Mobilitaet Kaiserslautern said.
Traffic can flow in all directions at a reduced speed, the company said.
So far, work on the traffic circle, Hitzelberger Strasse and the L470 in the direction of Landstuhl have been completed. Work will continue at the beginning of March 2025 at the earliest, starting from the traffic circle in the direction of Landstuhl-Atzel, the construction company said.
