The KMC gets into the holiday spirit this week with tree lighting ceremonies, visits by Santa and even a red-nosed airplane is on hand for the fun.

The Rheinland-Pfalz Army garrison gets the celebrations going at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Rheinlander Club. There will be selfies with Santa, live music, glühwein and hot chocolate, along with the tree lighting.

On Friday, the 30th Medical Brigade hosts a community tree-lighting ceremony with music, dance, food and drinks at Sembach Kaserne beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Landstuhl Regional Medical Center’s tree lighting ceremony will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at Fisher House 2.

Over at Ramstein Air Base, Rudolph the Red Nosed Herc is back in town at Hangar 3. The Ramstein High School choir will be performing, there are crafts at Santa’s workshop and American pop/country singer Cassandra Pope will be performing. The fun starts at 3 p.m., and there’s a rumor that the Grinch might be there, too.
