The Red Devils return to action at Fritz Walter Stadium on Sunday for a match against Braunschweig.

Kaiserslautern goes into the game in 10th place in the second division table with 17 points. That is five places and five points ahead of their opponent.

The side from Lower Saxony was in the depths of the cellar before going on a streak of two ties and a win, which came against Hamburger SV.

Kaiserslautern also has a streak going with two ties and two wins in the past four games.

The team kept from getting rusty during last week’s international play break by defeating Racing Union Luxembourg 3-2 in a friendly. Kenny Prince Redondo, Aaron Opoku and Richmond Tachie scored for the Red Devils.

Kickoff on Sunday is 1:30 p.m. on the Betzenberg. All the home team tickets for the match are already sold out, so organizers are expecting well over 40,000 spectators.

The Red Devils then head to Gelsenkirchen for a Friday evening game against Schalke and are back at Fritz Walter Stadium on Dec. 7 against long-time rival Karlsruhe SC.
