An early morning accident closed access roads leading to the Landstuhl-Atzel junction at autobahn A62 near Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.

At around 7 a.m., a woman turning left on to the autobahn access road overlooked an oncoming vehicle. The force of the impact spun her car around several times before being stopped by a traffic sign, according to Landstuhl police.

The other vehicle tipped over and ended up on its left side, resulting in a collision with a third vehicle.

Two people were slightly injured in the accident and police estimate the damage to be around $13,700.

The Landstuhl fire department, emergency services, an emergency doctor and police who responded to the emergency were tied up for about two hours before the roads were clear.
