The Brooklyn and Beyond comedy show hosted by local comedian Erin Crouch will bring an international lineup of comedians to the Kazabra Club at Vogelweh on Friday.
Actor, writer and producer Dwayne Perkins headlines the event. Born in New York, Perkins is a veteran in the stand-up scene, having performed all over the globe.
Along with his Netflix special “Dwayne Perkins: Take Note,” he has made several appearances on Comedy Central and with Conan O’Brien. He also had a recurring segment on “The Jay Leno Show.”
Perkins also co-wrote and starred in the suspense film “Dying To Kill,” available on Amazon. He is the author of “Hot Chocolate for The Mind,” a collection of funny stories and essays.
The show will also feature Zana Fejzic, a performer who was born in Bosnia and Herzegovina and but raised in Florida. She hosts a variety of interactive shows in Berlin and across Europe.
Fejzic was a finalist in the 2022 Berlin New Stand Up Awards and was nominated for best newcomer in the 2024 Manchester’s Women in Comedy Festival Awards. She describes her eclectic comedy as Balkan pessimism battling delusional American positivity sprinkled in with reggaeton flair.
British and Bolivian comedian Sandy Jones is stepping in for Zuva Martens. He performs all over Germany and beyond in English, Spanish and German.
As a co-host at Berlin’s Cosmic Comedy Club, Jones shares sharp and sassy observations on Germany and its quirky culture through the lens of his international upbringing.
The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door
