1. FC Kaiserslautern heads to Nuremberg for a 6:30 p.m. Friday evening game against FC Nuremberg.

The Red Devils start game day in 10th place in the second division table, with 16 points. The middle of the table is tight, with Nuremberg holding down sixth place, but only one point ahead of FCK.

Kaiserslautern coach Markus Anfang is missing a handful of players to injury, including Marlon Ritter and Jean Zimmer. In the weekly pre-game news conference, he said the team must concentrate on the opponent and defend accordingly.

The opponent is coached by former FCK and German national team star Miroslav Klose. The former striker scored 52 goals in 147 games for the Red Devils between 1999 and 2004. One of his Kaiserslautern teammates was Anfang.

The league takes a break next weekend for national team play. Kaiserslautern returns home to Fritz Walter Stadium on Nov. 24 for a 1:30 p.m. match against Braunschweig.
