A handful of crimes were recorded during this year’s October fair in Kaiserslautern, according to the city’s police department.

An assault, property damage and a violation of the Narcotics Act, were among seven offenses documented during the event, which spanned 10 days and wrapped up Monday.

“From a police perspective, the Kerwe was very peaceful,” Kaiserslautern police said in a statement Thursday, using a German word for the fair.

There were fewer violations of the cannabis and weapons ban compared to a fair held in May, although cannabis could be smelled at times during the festivities.

“Overall, there was only one administrative offense, when a small amount of cannabis was found during a bag search of a 16-year-old,” the police said.
