Halloween fun and seasonal festivities: Here’s what’s happening this weekend in the KMC

It’s the season for spooky fun and seasonal festivities. Here are some events happening this weekend in the KMC.

Halloween fun run: Ghosts and ghouls will run through Rhine Ordnance Barracks on Saturday during a costumed fun run that starts at 10 a.m., with registration at 9 a.m. Entry is $5 per person. Children under 12 are free. More info here.

Halloween at the KMCC Mall: Trick-or-treating, music from a DJ and Halloween crafts kick off the free fun Saturday at 2 p.m. There’ll also be a costume contest at 4 p.m. with on-site registration and four age divisions and a family-group category.

Kaiserslautern October Kerwe: The Oktoberkerwe, one of the largest folk festivals in the Westpfalz region, continues Friday-Monday at Kaiserslautern’s Messeplatz. The fest features a mix of thrilling rides, traditional German fare and family-friendly attractions and ends Monday with fireworks at 9 p.m. 

Rocky Horror Shadow Show: KMC Onstage presents the Halloween classic Rocky Horror Shadow Show on Friday and Saturday at the Baumholder Warrior Zone. The show is $25 and the preshow starts at 10 p.m. for adults 18 and up, with the option of a double feature Baumholder Halloween Murder Mystery Night and Rocky Horror Shadow Show on the same night for $50.
