Oktoberfest celebrations continue in the region along with plenty of live entertainment and unique shopping opportunities for the Kaiserslautern Military Community this weekend.
Here’s what’s happening:
Punchline Rebels comedy show (Oct. 4): The Punchline Rebels Comedy Show, hosted by local comedian Erin Crouch, will bring an international lineup of comedians to Kazabra Club on Vogelweh. Acts include Gino Christofaro, Tyson Cox, and Lisa Curry. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $12 at the door.
KMC Onstage presents the Tournament of Tiny Plays (Oct. 4-6): Support local talent at this unique competition featuring four short plays directed by local directors. Evening performances run Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., with 2 p.m. matinees on Saturday and Sunday. Audience members can vote for their favorite play, with winners moving on to a regional theater festival.
Oktoberfest in Homburg (Oct. 2-6): Oktoberfest season continues with Bavarian fun near Kaiserslautern. Feast on traditional dishes, enjoy ice-cold local beer and dance along to live bands in Homburg. The celebration concludes with a grand parade closing the event on Sunday.
Medieval market fair at Gelterswoog Lake (Oct. 3-6): Step back in time at this medieval market, featuring costumed performers, crafts and live demonstrations. A fun lakeside trip back in time for history lovers and families alike. Entrance fee is 8 euros for adults and 5 euros for children and visitors in period costumes.
Homemade craft market at the Ramstein Community Center (Oct. 5-6): Support local artisans and find one-of-a-kind treasures at the Ramstein Community Center. The market is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4p.m. on Sunday.

Kaiserslautern October Fair (Oct. 18-28): The Octoberkerwe, one of the largest folk festivals in the Westpfalz region, kicks off on Oct. 18, at Kaiserslautern’s Messeplatz, featuring a mix of thrilling rides, traditional German fare and family-friendly attractions.
