1. FC Kaiserslautern played last-place SSV Jahn to a 0-0 tie in Regensburg Saturday afternoon.
Neither team was able to score in a game that saw few scoring chances on either side.
While the Red Devils were predominant over the course of the game, the Regensburg defense held them scoreless over the 90 minutes.
The tie leaves Jahn in last place in the second division table, while FCK climbed to ninth before Sunday’s games.
Wins by Elversberg, Nuremberg and Cologne could drop Kaiserslautern down to 13th by the end of game day.
Kaiserslautern heads to Elversberg for a 1 p.m. match next Saturday, before a break for national team action.
The Red Devils return home to Fritz Walter Stadium for the Saturday night game on Oct. 19 against Paderborn.
