Drivers on the A6 near Kaiserslautern East should brace for delays this weekend as essential roadwork is set to last most of the weekend.

The German highway administration will carry out asphalt resurfacing work on the A6 in the direction of Saarbrücken until approximately 5 p.m. on Sunday, the agency said in a statement.

The work, which includes resurfacing on ramps and the Ludwigshafener Strasse overpass, will close the Kaiserslautern East exit, nearby Park & Ride lot, and parts of Ludwigshafener Strasse. Detours will be marked, directing traffic through the Kaiserslautern Centrum exit.
