Police seek video in August asphalt toss onto A63 near Mehlingen


An attempted murder investigation has been opened after unidentified people hurled an asphalt chunk onto the A63 on Aug. 9, 2024, urging local residents with surveillance cameras to review footage for possible evidence.

Authorities are treating an act of vandalism as an attempted murder after unknown individuals threw a large chunk of asphalt from a bridge onto highway A63 near Mehlingen in the early hours of Aug. 9.

Four cars were damaged, prompting an urgent investigation by police and prosecutors.

Officials are asking Mehlingen and Baalborn residents with surveillance cameras to review their footage from that night to see whether there is any video of the perpetrators.
