Kaiserslautern has introduced eight new designated parking zones for e-scooters in its city center, aiming to bring order to scooter parking and enhance pedestrian safety, officials said Tuesday.
Cityscape Maintenance has marked these new zones, bringing the total to 10 parking areas, including two near the train station.
This initiative, resulting from a recent city council decision, includes no-parking zones around each designated area to prevent scooters from being left haphazardly. E-scooter users can view these zones via the Tier Mobility SE app, ensuring compliance as improper parking will result in continued ride charges.
