Free public restrooms can be hard to find in Europe. Visitors to Kaiserslautern’s city center now have eight additional public restroom options thanks to the Nette Toilette, or Nice Toilet, program.

In response to a call from city management, eight more eateries have joined the initiative, offering free restroom access to non-customers.

Identified by a red sticker on their entrances or windows, these new participants bring the total number of free restrooms in the city center to 21, with an overall total of 25 including the four existing city restrooms.

Updated details will also be available on the official website www.die-nette-toilette.de and the related app, making it easy for users to locate the nearest toilet via smartphone, city officials said.
