Man saves toddler from pool drowning; police seek rescuer

An unknown man saved a 3-year-old child from a potential drowning on Monday afternoon after jumping into the swimming pool at the Warmfreibad near Kleber Kaserne.

The toddler initially tried to swim briefly before going under water, Westpfalz police reported. An unidentified man quickly rescued the child. After immediate CPR, the toddler was revived. The child was taken to a hospital for observation and is expected to recover.

Authorities are now searching for the man who pulled the child from the water. Witnesses who can provide information about the identity of the rescuer are urged to contact Kaiserslautern Police at 0631 369-2150 or via email at pikaiserslautern1@polizei.rlp.de.
