The Armed Services Blood Program is calling on eligible donors to join the upcoming blood drives on July 29 at Kleber Gym and July 30 at Sembach Gym.

The events are scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and are open to adults with base access, according to organizers.

Recent changes in eligibility criteria have broadened the pool of potential donors. Restrictions related to time spent in Europe/UK due to “Mad Cow” disease have been lifted, rules for LGBTQI+ individuals have been relaxed, and the waiting period after getting tattoos outside the US and traveling to malaria-risk areas has been reduced to three months.

Blood Type O is especially needed, but all are welcome to donate.

Children under 10 will be required to be supervised at all times and will not be allowed in the donation area.

Online sign-up is available.
