Altstadtfest starts today and runs through Sunday in downtown Kaiserslautern with music on six stages, a medieval fair in Klosterstrasse, handcrafted goods from about 70 vendors, free dance workshops and more. Expect some road closures downtown. Check out a complete rundown here.

If you’re looking for more free music in the KMC area, a performance by Andy Grammer (“Honey, I’m Good,” “Keep Your Head Up”) is part of Independence Day on the Rock in Baumholder tonight at 9 p.m., followed by a laser show at 10:30 p.m. And the NahetalOrchester symphonic wind orchestra presents a free performance Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Volkspark in Kaiserslautern.
