1. FC Kaiserslautern has sold nearly 28,000 season tickets for the upcoming Bundesliga 2 campaign that gets underway the weekend of Aug. 2.

Season tickets can still be purchased online until tomorrow, July 4, when the league announces its schedule.

Red Devil fans should mark July 27 on their calendars. The club announced that FCK would play a friendly match against third-division TSV 1860 Munich, another team with a lot of tradition, at Fritz Walter Stadium at 1:30 p.m. as part of a season-opening festival on the Betzenberg.

But first the team, with new coach Markus Anfang, heads to Mals, Italy, from July 6 -14, for a training camp to prep for the new season.
